U-village

2 weeks ago, my mum and I went to U-Village in Sg.Wang to have dinner. She had hers before meeting me.. so I was the only one eating at the time.

People already filled up the restaurant when i arrived.

Managed to find a table for two ... and I quickly ordered cos i was too hungry.

This was the set i ordered. Consisting of a bowl of minestrone soup, rice and sweet and sour prawns.. and also ribena.

All these for about RM9++.

The food here is not bad.. many people recommended this place to me but i had no chance to try until last 2 weeks. :P

so u guys go go go n try.. :þ

Our journey to lunch

Remember the chicken chop and KLCC fashion week show?

This happened before that.. we took lrt from office to KLCC for lunch at KFC..

In the limelight

Let's see what im doing tomoro(6.5.2006)
Wake up at 10am.
Go KLCC at 12noon.
Meet KS n Jen for lunch at 12.30pm.
Watch MI3 at 1.30pm.
Go gym at 3.45pm.
Fetch dad from work at 6.30pm.
Go to a friend's house at 7.15pm.
Meet the other frens at 7.30pm.
Eat bak kut teh at pandan jaya at 8pm.

Here's a photo I took last month in one of the small studios in Astro.(Sneaked in with my boss and I quickly pose while he snap a pic of me.. lol)

From now onwards.. my updates on saturdays n sundays will be about useless or unimportant things(like this one) .... or i might not update at all.. ahha

KFC Chicken chop

Recently KFC added the Chicken Chop to their menu and I wanted to try it out so badly since the first day it was out... but i only got the chance to go to KFC last friday..

I was queueing and i saw the person in front of me ordered the chicken chop... and at once.. i changed my mind n got the 2 pcs chicken set.

Why? Look at the pics below.

The chicken chop. Looks good. Comes with raisin coleslaw, fries and a regular soft drink. Price was about RM9.90(somewhere there)

The chicken set. Comes with coleslaw, mashed potato, a bun and a regular soft drink. Price: about RM8.60

Why did i choose the 2pcs chicken set n not the former?

With RM1.30 less, I get bigger piece of chicken(if 2 pieces are combined) and an extra bun. That's why.

What say you?

Ill be on tv!!

ahha i volunteered to record a short promo for Mother's Day which will be aired on 3 channels in Astro... which are Wah Lai toi, AEC and Xinghe.

The promo was recorded in cantonese.. so if u see it.. u will see me speaking cantonese.. ahhaa

Sek Yuen pt2

Here comes the food and night shots of Sek Yuen.

When the AEC tv host asked the customers what is so nice about Sek Yuen apart from the traditional dishes... they all say.. it's the rice.
Rice in Sek Yuen is steamed in cane containers, in a big wok.

I was not attracted to the food at all... they don look nice..

mum ordered the famous ones.. like the duck, mixed vege, minced meat and soup.

they tasted ok... not the very very best best one.. but since its cooked by old people.. using traditional recipe... ok la.. cincai la.. haha

whats the price like? u might ask..
its about RM62 for all the stuff we had. so do u think its reasonable?

Neon lights can be seen from miles away.. indicating the location of the restaurant...

i didnt realise it was packed.. until i took this picture.. lol. didnt know so many ppl still come here for dinner :P

Sek Yuen pt1

Last week.. I went to Pudu to have dinner with my parents. Mum wanted to go to this old restaurant called 'Sek Yuen'.

I've seen this place before cos i was born in Pudu and my mum used to live there for almost 30 years.

This restaurant has been around for about 58 years.. ahha it might look old.. but it was very grand last time.. people loved to hold their wedding dinners here.

When you step into the building.. you are welcomed with old furniture, high ceilings and elderly food servers.

It was kinda funny to have an old man taking our orders.. hey he was the youngest one there ok... :P

Habeas Corpus

Been wanting to watch this play since the first day it started.. n finally we got to watch it.

Last night, Albert, Elaine, Jen, Davina and I went to BSC to watch the stage comedy called "Habeas Corpus". Another reason why we went to watch is because some of our friends are acting in it.. so have to give face lah.. lol

The 2.5 hours comedy started out boring as the casts talked a lil bit too much but started to get humorous when a young sexy lady called "Penelope" appeared.. oh i mean "Felicity".. hehe

That's Felicity and Mrs. Swabb.. played by Elaine's lecturer.. hahaha.. she was damn good at playing her role and her Brit'ish accent flying all over the stage..

The ending was quite predictable(I've nvr seen any old versions of the play before so i didnt know the story") but it was fun...and they ended the show with a dance..

After the show, we took pics with 2 of the casts... one of them was Felicity.. played by an ex-Xfresh(means my ex-colleague la) Kay Li.

Manhattan Fish Market

Last friday(before the gathering) was Jen's last day at Xfresh. So during lunch.. my boss drove us to Manhattan Fish Market at Ampang Park for lunch.

The stuff we ordered were:

Cherrie, Jen and I shared this seafood platter for two.

William ordered the King Salmon thingy.. Ryan n Albert had the grilled dory.. they were all lunch sets.. priced from rm16.90 to rm26.00

More seafood platter pics. It was rm42+ for this thing. I think its quite worth.. since it was shared by the 3 of us.

This is one of the best dish that i will never miss whenever im at MFM. The heavenly butter garlic mussels. RM13.90.

FANTASTICO!!!

oh anyway.. we r sad.. Jen no more in the office .. boring.. no more reason to go take silly photos at work.. for now.
