Charsiew n Chicken Rice

One of our favourite lunch spot is this Ipoh Chicken Rice shop between Sri Petaling and OUG.

Seriously.. the chicken and charsiew damn nice.

Here r some pics from our recent visit.

everytime we come... we will surely order "lala"... cantonese for clams.

super nice also. ahahahaa but a bit expensive.. about RM12 for 2 person.

They are famous for the steamed chicken... kesedapan tak terhingga.

I think next week we will go again. :D

Pavilion Jump

3 weeks ago (wahrao.. damn outdated post) I went to the brand new shopping mall in KL, called Pavilion, to have a look.

Went there with my parents so I didnt expect to be able to shoot that many photos.

the only part that I think was worth shooting was the center court which is called Bintang Circle.

Pavilion KL is actually a mall for average local shoppers, tourists and also upmarket customers.

They have brands that were not in Malaysia before this, like J.CO Donuts, Pull and Bear, Mooks, Thomas Pink and Angus Steak House.

Mum wanted to have sushi for dinner so we went to this place called.. erm.. something la.. i forgot the name.. lol 3 weeks ago okay!

ya... n then we walked out the mall cos I wanted to take a shot of the main entrance.

There I met Eugene, Fattien, Ahkwong, Eri.. and another friend.

I jumped with Eugene.

Thanks Eri for snapping and thanks Fattien for holding the wireless flash.

ok anyways... lets talk about my favourite outlet in the whole building.

J.CO!!!!!!!!!!! I first tried their donuts when I was in Bandung, Indonesia few months back and I fell inlove straight away....

I thought... I could never taste those sponge like donuts anymore...

BUT HEY! ITS NOW IN MALAYSIA! WEEEEEEE!

I ordered Tiramisu and Crispy Donuts... and also 2 drinks.

I was shocked when 2 Glazy Donuts came with my drinks. So I asked the Indonesian looking crew.

pOp: hi.. err.. i didnt order these...

staff: oh those r free.. cos your ordered 2 drinks... so u get 2 free donuts.

pOp: ahhaa okay... thanks... btw.. you sound like ur from Indonesia... are you?

staff: ya ya im from Jakarta..

pOp: oh! no wonder! ahah I tried JCO before when I was in Bandung.

staff: ya ya we have a branch there. Thanks for supporting.

lol anyways..

The next time you come to Pavilion.... please come to J.Co...

Alpha Focused

I'll use this post... to explain why I buy the Alpha and test it a lil.

before that...

took this in the office just now.

oh I made a new "Photo taken by" banner too. You'll see that when I post photos taken by my a700.

as usual... I always have a white background shot of my new toys. lol

Those are the main reasons why I buy the Alpha. (doesnt mean other brands are not good... but I would be happier if I have antishake built-in, hehe)

you have to see the screen in real life to know how great it is. Some call it "the bravia" cos seems like a miniature Sony LCD tv.

The upcoming Nikon D300 will be using this same screen too.

Now let's test to see if the photos are 'noisy' at high ISO.

a photo of my desk at work.

now lets take a few shots with different ISOs and enlarge it to 100% and crop it to 200x300px.

In my opinion, It is still save to use ISO 1600 since the noise is not that visible yet.

What say you?

Alpha A700 Launch

I just came back!!!!!!!!!

Back!!!! from the launch event of Sony Alpha A700 at Rennaisance Hotel.

As I have sold off my A100... I went there cameraless...

but luckily Albert still had his camera with him... so I slotted in my memory card into his camera and took some shots.

This is the entrance to the hall.... everyone actually gathered outside the hall to experience the new A700 and lenses before going in.

There was a photo gallery too!

And I am proud to be one of the few selected Alpha photographers to be featured in the gallery.

Can anyone spot my big round face?

There you go.. a closer look. Sony actually picked this photo that I took last year at KTM station... I kinda like the photo too. :) Jealousy Kills. yummy.

at about 6pm, everyone was asked to enter the hall as the ceremony was about to start.

The moment I went in, I was shocked to see my face on the HDTV wall. lol

There were actualy 8 Sony HDTV next to the stage to show us how easy it is to connect the new A700 to high definition televisions.

after some talks... the A700 was finally brought out on stage by the japanese guy manager or something..

The event ended with a buffet dinner...

I love food.... I love eating.... I love eating free foood... especially buffets...

but I didnt have appetite... I ate a little... and then grabbed Albert and we zoomed to KLCC....

and we each bought our new babies...

Prince Cafe

2 weeks ago we went to watch Hairspray! dono why but everyone in our gang loves musical. ahahaa maybe siao ppl likes to watch musical so they can dance i nthe cinema.. hmm

before that, we went for dinner at Prince Cafe, midvalley.

only 4 of us cos Jacklyn n Yow were late.

they have this coaster on every table

why so lame? ahhaha

anyways.. we ordered these

Then Jacklyn and Yow came... so we went to the cinema n realised we were in black and white! :D

Goodbye A100

I am now officially dSLRless....

cos I sold off my A100 just now... hmm

to those who hav been asking me if I am buying Canon or Nikon.... notice that I said I "sold my A100"... and not "sold my Alpha"...

also.... I didnt sell any of my lenses! Isn't that a super big hint already?

anyways.... I searched thru my archives and found some photos of me posing with my A100 when I first bought it a year ago.

on 1st august 2006... Albert and I went to the launch of the Alpha 100 at KL Tower.

and after I bought it... on 10th aug 2006... I brought it to Astro and went around the building to pose with it.

on 20th august 2006, I went to see the US Aircraft Carrier carrying it...

after a week, I joined pinkfrog and yipseng for a photoshoot outing at Petaling street....

on 17th sept 2006... i got molested by Jasiminne while carrying the A100 at Chilis during the Fooxion gathering.

on 14th october 2006.. I was spotted carrying the A100 again at the mooncake festival outing at Bkt Jalil park with the Fooxion gang.

on 27th october 2006... I was at KTM with pinkfrog, albert, paultan and jenhan for a photoshoot outing...

of course.... there are a lot lot lot lot lot more places ive been with my A100... butthen lisitng them all out will take a lot of space and time...

anyways... I CANT WAIT TIL I GET THE NEW ALPHA! WOOOOOOOOT! A700 HERE I COME :D

Jen Killed The Cake

OMG ANOTHER WEEK PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyways.... I just came back from Jen's bday dinner at Codo midvalley with the rest of the gang.

Fatty Crab

2 weeks ago... we all suddenly got the urge to eat crab.... so everyone gathered everyone and we all went to Fatty Crab at Mines for dinner.

i damn long nvr eat crab d.... so nice... crab rox!

we had vege and fried rice too! The vege is called "choi tam" in cantonese.

and brandon is marrying her.

ryan came late and sat nex to rames... wassup ryan! long time no c!

my 3rd time meeting hiew if i not mistaken... his gf damn quiet... shy maybe.. :D

hikaru and junn need no introduction... siao gang members also... see how junn laff oledi know he siao

adrian loves heroes so much.... he was the one who helped me buy the Heroes tshirt... look he was wearing it too!

Jacklyn is pretending to be happy... but she actually a bit sad... cos Jed dowan come back see her.. lol
and Jen... cried... cos she felt lucky for being able to enjoy good food... with a bunch of good frens.

after eating... we felt like having dessert... so we drove to OUG Citrus park to dive into some mango loh and honeydew loh and redbean loh and everything else.

a leather chair that we placed at the entrance against the yellow wall.

I couldnt resist but to jump with it.

and erm... today.... i got touched!
